Famed 93.9 WKYS FM radio personality and Core DJ, DJ Schemes has recently added the title producer to his repertoire providing, his fanbase with yet another way to acquire great tunes from the rising star.

The first single produced by DJ Schemes is a Hip Hop heavy R&B track entitled Throw Away and features DMV recording artist Mawty Maw. The single creates a real vibe melding Mawty Maws quick rhythmic cadence with the chill melody of the track. This banger lands just in time for the sunshine and splits of the summer season.

DJ Schemes and Mawty Maw received the chance to build and create this past year amidst the pandemic. Schemes, looking to make use of his newfound free time, began to dabble with beats and melodies, “I’ve now been producing for a little over a year but, I’ve always wanted to produce throughout my entire career.” said Schemes. “Covid allowed me to put my entire focus on it. Now I’m at a point where I’m ready to continue to work with the artists in the area and create more magic.” This first track is one of many that DJ Schemes plans to release soon.

DJ Schemes created the beat for Throw Away and played it for Mawty Maw. When Mawty Maw heard the beat, he immediately wanted to write and record. What he laid on the track was a refreshing take on relationship woes. Throw Away comes through as both heartfelt and thought-provoking, highlighting a toxic love many have experienced.
