If you’re like us, you love food. If you’re like us, you love supporting Black-owned businesses. If you’re in the DMV area, then you’re in for a treat this month! DC’s Black Restaurant Week is happening from July 18th-31st, and there are tons of incredible places to eat. This celebration of Black-owned businesses is the perfect opportunity to try something new and support your community. We’ve put together a list of some incredible dishes you should try at our favorite Black-owned restaurants in the district, so be sure to check them out during Black Restaurant Week!

The Park at 14th: Grilled Lamb Chops and Mashed Potatoes


Mr. Braxton: Hanger Steak and Onion Rings


St James DC: Crab and Dumplings – Soft shell crab, Trini-style taro dumplings, coconut curry sauce


Melange DC: Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Burger 


The Creole on 14th: Lamb Chops stuffed with a Cajun Crab Cream Sauce


Bar Pilar: Butter Chicken, Ghee, Garam masala, served with Basmati Rice
